Step Lively barn dance and ceilidh band can provide a full evening (or afternoon) of entertainment for your event. Give us a room with enough space to dance and our dance caller will have everybody up on their feet ‘swinging’ their partner or dancing a ‘do-si-do’, while the band plays an uplifting mix of jigs, reels, marches, hornpipes and polkas. Our dance caller will guide everyone through the steps, even complete beginners, of any age. Dancing is good for the soul! The dances often involve starting with a partner or four people (anyone will do!) and then ‘progress’ so that by the end you will have mixed up and danced with most other people in the room, with a lot of hilarity – and sometimes chaos – along the way.

‘The caller was particularly good. He was a marvel – he even managed to get some determined non-dancers to their feet, and proved to them that it doesn’t actually matter too much if you get it wrong: it all adds to the fun.
